What we can look at
Damaged skirting, architraves and interior timber trims need a careful match to the room—not a generic strip of timber attached over the old profile.
What the damage may mean
A swollen skirting board, broken door trim, loose shelf or several small finishing jobs each have different fixings and surfaces behind them. A photograph of the entire run and a profile close-up helps separate replacement timber from wall patching.
Repair, replace or investigate
A local section may be repaired or replaced if the profile can be matched and the substrate is sound. For a loose or replacement shelf, the bracket or cabinet support, span, expected load and fixing surface need checking before a method is chosen. Several small items can be scoped together, but material supply, access to occupied rooms and any wet-wall source should be discussed before scheduling.
Scope and boundaries
This is not a promise of whole-house bespoke joinery, structural alteration, floor sanding or antique furniture restoration. Shelf installation is subject to the actual fixing and load scope being approved; cabinet hinges and drawers have a separate service. Wall patching and painting are not automatically included.
What shapes a quote
Show the full trim length, an end/profile view, damaged section and adjacent wall. For shelves, show existing supports, approximate width/depth and the surface they fix to. Quantity, lengths, profile availability, material supply, fixing access, patching and painting affect the estimate.
